CBS 17 2026 IMAGE SPOT

CBS 17 image spot highlighting the growing impact of the station’s commitment to informing and protecting the community. This promo was designed to reinforce brand trust through cinematic visuals, intentional pacing, and layered storytelling.

Created to position CBS 17 as a trusted news leader, the spot focuses on mood, urgency, and visual storytelling rather than traditional topical promotion.

CBS 17 Promos

From March 2024-March 2026 I was a Promo Producer with CBS 17 News (WNCN). Here are some of my favorite projects that I did during my time at the station.

SPORTS STORYTELLING

High-energy, story-driven content that captures the intensity, personality, and emotion of sports. From broadcast promos to athlete features, each piece is crafted with a commercial approach—blending dynamic visuals, intentional lighting, and strong storytelling to create content that feels both cinematic and impactful.

My Carolina – “Always There” Co-Host Reveal Campaign

This three-part promotional campaign produced by myself and my fellow promo producer Tina Telep was created to tease and officially introduce Brea Hollingsworth as the new co-host of My Carolina on CBS 17. Formerly an anchor and reporter for the station, Brea’s transition into this role was announced through a narrative-driven campaign centered on connection, consistency, and chemistry. Throughout the spots, we establish a recurring theme: whenever Trent is in need, Brea is there. From unexpected moments of help to subtle parallels in their daily routines, the campaign builds toward the reveal that Brea has been the perfect co-host all along. Each spot layers humor, relatability, and storytelling to organically introduce the new on-air partnership while reinforcing the heart of My Carolina—familiar faces, feel-good moments, and genuine connection

Spot One – The Rescue

The campaign opens with Trent traveling for the holidays when his car unexpectedly breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Just when all hope seems lost, Brea arrives to save the day—establishing the recurring theme of her showing up when he needs her most.

Spot Two – In Sync

The second spot leans into visual parallels, showing Trent and Brea unknowingly moving through their morning routines in the exact same way—waking up, getting ready, and starting their day. When Trent arrives at work and realizes he’s out of his favorite creamer, Brea once again appears, creamer in hand, reinforcing their compatibility and shared rhythm.

Spot Three – The Reveal

In the final spot, Trent finishes a show alone and admits he’s been feeling low without a co-host. As the moment unfolds, the campaign flashes back to every time Brea has helped him along the way. The realization lands: she was the right fit all along. The spot culminates in the official announcement of Brea as the new co-host of My Carolina.
